The Dalia Sigan Award for Best Script

Dalia Sigan, legendary editor and producer of Israel’s Broadcasting Company programs for young adults, had a special love for screenplays and cinema. As producer of IBA’s radio hit “Cat in a Sack” during the 1980s and 90s, Dalia nurtured talents such as David Grossman and Arieh Elded. Dalia was regarded with the highest esteem and won many awards including the IBA Award. Later, Dalia served as the Coordinator for the Israel Delegation to the UN, and in her final years, edited dozens of translated books. Dalia was a source of inspiration for many, and no one is better suited to continue and inspire new talents through this prestigious award.
