The Jerusalem Foundation in collaboration with the Gesher Multicultural Film Fund and the Jerusalem Film Festival are proud to present, for the ninth year, the Production Award for Outstanding Film Students

In memory of Lord Alex Bernstein, devoted friend and supporter of the city of Jerusalem

For over thirty years, Lord Alex Bernstein supported a variety of cultural and coexistence programs in the city of Jerusalem. His great love of cinema and theater was expressed through his contribution to the establishment of the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School and in his many years of support for the Jerusalem Cinematheque. Among his many roles, Lord Bernstein served as the Chairman of Granada Group, renowned for its various productions including the award-winning documentary series World in Action. He was also the Chairman of the Royal Exchange Theatre, Chairman of the Old Vic, where he led the appeal to restore the theater, and co-owner and director of the Waddington galleries for modern art.

The generous contribution by the Bernstein family commemorates Lord Alex and continues his work. The collaboration between the Jerusalem Foundation and the Gesher Multicultural Film Fund has resulted in eleven documentary films, presenting a mosaic of stories reflecting the diverse faces of Israeli society.

This year, two grants in the total amount of NIS 65,000 will be awarded.
