Elham Rokni

Elham Rokni was born in Iran in 1980 and immigrated to Israel at the age of nine. She holds both BFA and MFA degrees from the Art Department at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, where she currently teaches in the Art Department and the Department of Visual and Material Culture. Rokni frequently engages with contemporary issues of migration and displacement, topics of significant social sensitivity and importance, through a biographical-political lens that resonates with both Israeli and global narratives. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions both in Israel and abroad, as well as film and video festivals.
