Film and TV director. The Hipster Trilogy—Die Mediocren, Sexy Sadie and Fandango—premiered at the Berlinale. Later films include The Free Will (Silver Bear 2006), This is Love (San Sebastian), Mercy (Berlinale 2011), Dying (Silver Bear, Golden Lola 2024). For TV, he created Blochin, Redemption Road (Grimme Prize), and directed Das Boot Season 2 among others.
