Marking the 50th anniversary of the Cinematheque's opening, we are proud to present one of the first films ever screened, accompanied by live music from 'Reseketz,' Eran Tzamit's 'ambient songwriting' project

Based on the historical mutiny aboard a battleship during the abortive 1905 Revolution, Eisenstein’s Battleship Potemkin is considered one of the best films ever made. The landmark sequence filmed on the Odessa steps is possibly the most famous scene of all time.
