Ali Abbasi

Denmark

Ali Abbasi is an Iranian born, award-winning filmmaker. His debut Shelley premiered in Berlin and was well received, but it was Border (2018) which was his international breakthrough. The film won the Un Certain Regard Prize in Cannes and represented Sweden at the Oscars. His latest film Holy Spider (2022) premiered in competition in Cannes and was selected as the Danish entry for the Oscars.

 

Barbara Albert

Austria

A Berlin-based Austrian writer, producer, and director. She directed notable films such as Nordrand (1999), The Dead and the Living (2012), and Mademoiselle Paradis (2017). She is also the cofounder of the production company coop99, which produced Austrian and European Arthouse films Toni Erdmann (2016) and Quo Vadis, Aida? (2020).

 

Sebastian Meise

Austria

An acclaimed Austrian director and screenwriter. His first feature Still Life (2011) premiered in San Sebastián and won numerous awards. His latest film Great Freedom (2021) was awarded the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize in Cannes and won man international awards. He is also the co-founder of the Vienna-based production company FreibeuterFilm.
