Over the course of a single night, all the mythological characters represented in Israeli society gather in a small Tel Aviv pub—a microcosm of sorts of the country in the early 1990s. Assi Dayan’s exemplary work won the Best Film Award at the Jerusalem Film Festival and nine Ophir awards, as well as an Honorary Mention at the 1992 Berlin Film Festival. This new digitally-restored print was an initiative of the Israel Film Archive housed at the Jerusalem Cinematheque, and was screened at the recent Berlin Film Festival's Classics program; this is the first restoration in Israel to be carried out in 4K the highest resolution currently available. Co-produced under the supervision of cinematographer Yoav Kush, carried out by the Israel Film Archive and United King Films, and funded by the Israel Film Fund.
