In the 1950s and 60s, seven North African and Polish women were sent from their ship to the desert. They share their life stories talking of the pains of immigration, poverty, the difficulties of adjusting to a new home, and their determined attempts to create rich and meaningful lives. They recount the struggles that they faced and the insights they gained in their first 15 years in Dimona. Their stories, full of humor, sorrow and dignity open a unique window into perspectives that were never shared and were largely ignored. Dimona Twist combines conversations with the protagonists with rare private and public archives.
