Mariette Rissenbeek is the Executive Director of the Berlin International Film Festival. She is a prominent figure in the German film industry, and previously served as Managing Director of German Films, the organization for the international promotion of German cinema. (Germany)
After studying in Paris, László Nemes became the assistant to Hungarian director Béla Tarr. After a few shorts, he directed Son of Saul (Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, Golden Globe, Bafta, Academy Award). Sunset, his second film, premiered at Venice 2018. He is now working on his third film. (Hungary)
Rúnar Rúnarsson is an Icelandic filmmaker. His credits include Volcano (Cannes, 2011) and the short films Anna, Two Birds, and The Last Farm (which was nominated for an Oscar). His second feature Sparrows won the top prize at the San Sebastian Film Festival and his third feature Echo (2019) premiered in Locarno. (Iceland)
