Young-hee, a young artist in a complicated relationship with a married film director, visits a foreign city. She wanders around, talks to people, and ponders questions about love. When she arrives at the beach alone, her feelings surface and then disappear in the fog. Hong Sang-soo, one of Korea’s most esteemed directors, returns to the key theme of his work - the meaning of love - and explores it through his unique cinematic aesthetic and language. The heroine, like many of Hong Sang-soo’s protagonists, exists in a world of spontaneous and accidental situations molded in complex and meticulous architecture. The film participated at the official Berlinale competition where Kim Min-hee won Best Actress.
