JFW—Jerusalem Film Workshop 2019

The Jerusalem Film Workshop is a unique and exciting program, founded in 2014. The program provides young filmmakers from all over the world with the opportunity to hone their skills, whilst also exploring the diverse human nature of Israel.

Over the course of five weeks, twenty-four participants will create six short documentaries that present their own fresh perspectives on the city of Jerusalem. Their unique voices and their varied points of view will be brought together to explore the beautiful and fascinating village of Ein Karem in Jerusalem. The process involves mentoring and masterclasses by leading figures in the Israeli film industry, and hands-on creative experience, allowing participants to bond with one another as well as with diverse members of Israeli society.

This year, the JFW is proud to gather filmmakers from all over the world - Israel, China, USA, Australia, Brazil, France, Mexico, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Poland and South Africa.

The JFW is an initiative of Green Productions together with Onward Israel, supported by The New Fund for Cinema and Television, The Jerusalem Film and Television Fund, The Murray Galinson San Diego Israel Initiative, Hanagid Foundation, Legend of Ein Kerem, Behefetz Kapeha, Hadassah Australia, Jewish Secular Yeshiva, and United King Films.

The program is held in affiliation with the Jerusalem Film Festival.
