For five decades, Robert Fisk has reported from the most turbulent regions in the world. He started out in Northern Ireland and then covered the Carnation Revolution in Portugal. In 1976, he arrived in Beirut and since then, provided extensive coverage of the wars and conflicts in the Middle East. Fisk, who first wrote for the Times, and later on for the Independent, was one of the first to report on the Sabra and Shatila massacre, and interviewed Osama bin Laden several times. Yung Chang’s documentary paints a meticulous portrait of a very special person, a good old-fashioned journalist who relies only on the truth that he finds on ground. A man who devoted his entire life to the centrality of the victims’ viewpoint, wherever they may be.
