One can never say enough about the contribution of Stanley Kubrick to the development of the art of film. He was one of the giants in his field, and over the years, scores of papers have been devoted to the analysis of his work as well as relentless creative attempts to decipher his films. But Kubrick himself never liked to be interviewed or speak about his films at length. Hence the importance of this documentary which reveals rare recordings of in-depth interviews with Kubrick that took place over the span of three decades. Director Grégory Monro skillfully interlaces the recordings with diverse material from the archives and takes the viewers on a journey into the world of the cinematic genius whose films only seem to get better over the years.
