Shomer

Shomer dismantles and reassembles the architectural structure of the Magen Avraham synagogue in Beirut, in order to explore concepts such as authenticity and preservation, and their relationship with memory. The complicated history of the building is presented through a personal story of a man who grew up next to the synagogue as a Lebanese Jew, and later visited it as an Israeli soldier.
