Ali Abbasi

Ali Abbasi is an Iranian born, award-winning filmmaker. His debut SHELLEY premiered in Berlin and was well received, but it was BORDER (2018) which was his international breakthrough. The film won the Un Certain Regard Prize in Cannes and represented Sweden at the Oscars. His latest film HOLY SPIDER (2022) premiered in competition in Cannes and was selected as the Danish entry for the Oscars.
